Amanda Rebecca Lockner was the daughter of Isaac and Mahala Ashburn Cox. She passed away at the home of her parents after an illness of many months. She grew to womanhood in Blue Rapids and attended the Blue Rapids public schools.

She was married October 29, 1907 to Mr. George Lockner and to this union two sons were born: Bernard Oliver, born in 1908 and Percy Monroe, born Dec. 19, 1910 and who died Jan. 21, 1911.

Mrs. Lockner was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, and is survived by her husband, a son, father and mother, and a brother.
