John William is the son of Arnold William and Norma Elizabeth (Boland) Cook. John was born with glacoma and lost his sight by the time he was 4 years old. He graduated from the Minnesota Braille and Sight Saving School in Faribault, MN, a state boarding school for blind and visually handicapped children. John continued his education at the University of MN and Graduated with a degree in physics in just 3 years, Cum Laude.
He was unable to find a job that suited him, he bought property near the University of Minnesota and rented out apartments. He was a very intelligent man.
John died of a massive corinary at the early age of 59.
