His will was proved in Culpeper County, Viginia on July 8, 1796 and was probated in the same county on July 18, 1796 (Will Book D, page 180). Some family trees give his death as 1792, while a family tree drawn c1920 for Mrs. J.L. Abbot Jr. of Mobile says 1790, though these dates seem too early. Another family tree gives birth date as March 13, 1705.
