Thomas R. Lucas was fatally injured Monday about noon, five miles south of Clinton on highway 13. when the wagon he was driving was struck by an automobile driven by Mrs. Wilbur Scott of Deepwater.
He came to Henry County as a young man and married here. Deceased was an honest upright citizen and lived for 18 years on the Colt farm two miles east of Clinton. He was held in esteem by all of his friends.
Rev. Lindsay conducted his funeral at the home of his son, Ed Lucas, on East green street, Tuesday afternoon. The burial was in Englewood.
