CHEEK Lois Orand went to be with her Lord and to be reunited with husband, Jim, Thursday morning, Nov. 11, 1993. Lois and Jim were married in Fort Worth, October 26, 1941. She was born September 29, 1919 in Ralls, Tx to Pauline Lancaster and William H. Orand. She graduated from Abilene High School and Nursing School at Hardin-Simmons College. She worked as a Nurse in hospitals in Texas and in Mangum, Ok and in later years as a home maker, hospital volunteer and full-time grandmother. An active member of the Women's Missionary Union at Country Estates Baptist Church, Lois supported mission work for all of her life and served many summers as a volunteer throughout the United States. She was a volunteer at University Hospital and former president of the Midwest City Hospital Auxiliary. A loving mother to James and wife, Sandra of Florence, S.C., Richard and wife, Jene of Midwest City, Ann and husband, James Ergenbright of Sherman, Tx and Alice and husband, Mike Lally of Arlington, Tx. A wonderful "Grandma" to Jamie, Jim and Nona, Shannon and Brent, Rick, Matt, Robert, John, Daniel, Adam, Brittain, and Alyssa; and "Great-Grandma" to Lauren and Erin. Her parents, her sisters, Veda Orand and Peggy Perrin; and her brother, Bill Orand have gone before her. She will be missed by brothers, Eddie Orand of Fort Worth and Jay Orand of Springtown, Tx. Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or the Lupus Foundation. Memorial services will be Mon., Nov. 15, 10:00 a.m. at Country Estates Baptist Church.
