Lee Self, 99, Strasburg, VA, died at the Veterns Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg. Born in Ketterman, Grant County, WV., he was retired from construction and was an Army Veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. He was also a member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, and the Stephens City Veterans of Foreigh Wars. His wife Lettie Kimble Self, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, John G. Self, Christiansburg, VA., Elder Floyd Self, Lebanon Church, VA., and Danny J. Self, Annandale,VA; two daughters,Nellie V Self, Inwood, and Florence "Sis" Self, Stasburg,VA.; one sister, Zola Smith; one brother, Eston Self; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and several g-g-grandchildren. Bishop Gerald Buhl conducted the funeral at Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg.

Lee Self was my grandfather. His son was my father, Floyd Dennings Self. So Lee has 20 more grandchildren and 7 more great grandchildren. Please add, thank you so much, blessing Rev Loraina Lee.
