Jessie Mae Atkins passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, August 13th, at the young age of 90.
“Mom” is survived by her children, Kristie Atkins (Peter) of Murfreesboro and Terry Atkins (Julie) of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Bruce, Jennifer, and Robyn; great-grandchildren, Bruce and Seth.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband William Bruce Atkins. They could be found most weekends working together in the yard, laughing a lot and just enjoying each other’s company. They also worked together at Ford Glass Plant for many years.
