April M. Barchus, 32, of Republic, passed away Wednesday Aug. 5, 2015, at her home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1984, in Tiffin, to John and Kim (Hohman) Schwalenberg. She married Adam Barchus, Sept. 12, 2008, in Tiffin, and he survives in Republic.
Other survivors include a son, Austin, at home; her parents, John and Kim Scwalenberg of Republic; one brother, Aaron (Tesla Maggs) Little of Bloomville; a sister, Ali (Kyle Tong) Schwalenberg of Tiffin; maternal grandfather, Claude Hohman of Tiffin; mothers- and fathers-in-law, Ish (Nancy) Sparkman of West Virginia, and Allen (Lori) Barchus of New Riegel; a brother-in-law, Ian Sparkman of West Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Lacy Barchus of New Riegel and Adrienne (Matt) Barchus of Salem; four nephews; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Mary Hohman; paternal grandparents, Bob and Audrey Schwalenberg; and a brother-in-law, Alex Barchus.
April was co-owner of Buckeye Lawn Care, Republic, and a cook at Smokey's, Republic. She volunteered and worked at Tiffin AMVETS, was a member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary of Tiffin, and attended Seneca East High School.
April had an infectious smile and laugh, and always made people laugh. If you were a friend of April, you were a friend for life. Her life revolved around her son, Austin, and he was her pride and joy.
Burial will follow at Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic.
