History - Rhanaldo Mowrey, at age 18, was a member of the Brooklyn Ship Saints. The ship sailed from New York's Brooklyn Harbor, Wednesday, February 4, 1846 to California. On June 30, 1847 the Saints met with Utah "pioneers" on the Green River in what is now Wyoming and accompanied them to Salt Lake Valley. He went with his mother at that time to Salt Lake City. Rhanaldo was a stone mason by trade.
