FUNERAL RITES FOR FERDINAND M. BAIN HELD HERE MONDAY.

Funeral services for Ferdinand McCartney Bain, 44, of 1049 Blanchard place, who died Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at a local sanitarium, were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Osborn funeral chapel. Bishop Dana Dawson and Dean R. E. Smith conducted the rites. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery. Mr. Bain had been in ill health for the past year, but the sickness which caused his death was brief.
Active pallbearers were Robert C. Keoun, David J. Billeiter, T. M. Comegys, Milton Friend, G. M. McCuin and T. J. Stone.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. L. L. Davige, Dr. George Garrett, Bishop Hoyt M. Dobbs, Harlan Beene, Hugh D. Tomlinson, Robert Rutherford, Richard Spears, Allen H. Danielson, W. T. Mayo, George Woodward, R. H. Kolb, A. C. Williamson, members of Joppa Lodge No. 362, F. & A.M., members of the Shreveport consistory, Scottish Rite bodies and members of the Celotex Corporation, members of the Four Square Bible class and member of the H. H. Bain Roofing Co.
Mr. Bain was the son of Hollace H. Bain, well known Shreveport business man and Mrs. Bain who are now in Rome, Italy on a summer tour of Europe.
Mr. Bain was connected with the Celotex Co. here. He attended Virginia Military Institute, Louisiana State University and was a graduate of Centenary College. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and a Mason.
Mr. Bain is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louisa Feyerabend Bain; a daughter, Mary Lou Bain and three brothers, Dr. Leon Bain and Hollace H. Bain, Jr.
