The death of Mrs. B. Suggs, which occurred at her home Sunday
afternoon was a shock to her many friends. The cause of her
death was measles.
Mrs Suggs was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davis. Her death
was the first among twelve children.
Mrs Suggs is survived by her mother, Mrs. Davis, of Lytle,
her husband and four children, Clyde, Clara, Maurine and
Minnie Ruth, and two brothers and nine sisters. Thomas Davis,
of Oregon and Willie Davis, of Chattanooga. Mrs.P.O'Leary, of
Richmond, Va., Mrs.J O'Leary, of Chattanooga, Mrs. Chas.Wheeler,
of Warren, Mrs. J.A. Graham, Mrs Zack Conger, Mrs. Tom Trotman,
Mrs. John Oburn, and Mrs Joicie Davis, of Lytle, and Mrs Lizzie
Morris of Atlanta.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L.S. Leonard at the
Chickamauga Baptist Church. The body was laid to rest in the
Chickamauga cemetery.
Among those out- of- town who attended the funeral were Lee
Suggs, of Macon, M.L.Suggs of Senora, Mrs. J.W.Low and sister,
of Griffin, Mr.and Mrs. M.T. Earnest and Miss Sue Earnet, of
Bowdon Junction.
Many beautiful floral offering by friends, the Masonic order, the
city Council and the Baptist church attested to the high esteem
in which Mrs. Suggs was held.
