"Hico" is in Person County, North Carolina right next to Granville County. Larkin Chew Johnston referred to "her bros. place on Hico." He was referring to the Hyco River. The headwaters of the Hyco River are in Caswell County and flows northeast through Person County then into Halifax County, Virginia. The upper portion of the river was dammed in the sixties to create Hyco Lake. It put 3800 acres under water. If John Rogers Jr's land was located downstream from the dam then maybe her grave can be found. But there is the chance that the land is now under water.
