Mrs. J. D. Barrow died Sunday morning at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Chandler, on the Park Springs Road int he Pelham community after an illness of the past three years. She suffered a stroke of paralysis in September of 1954, and she had been confined to her bed since that time.
Mr.s Barrow, she was 86 years of age, was born in Rowan County, North Carolina, October 20, 1870. She was a former resident of the Ferry Road, however, for the past twenty years, she had made her home in the Park Springs community. Before her marriage to the late Jesse Daniel Barrow,the was Mrs. Carrie Yates Daniels.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Chandler, she is survived by two sons: H. R. Daniels of the Ferry Road and Patrick H. Barrow of the Park Spring Road, and three step-sons: W.G. Barrow of Blairs, R. D. Barrow of Greensboro, and H. F. Barrow of burlington. She also leaves two sisters Mrs. W. J. Honeycutt of East Spencer,J. C. and Mrs. John Chaney of Concord, N.C.; two brothers; John Yates and Charlie Yates, both of Texas thirty-three grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren.
Internment Yates Family Cemetery on the Ferry Road. Pall-bearers were: Jimmy Chandler, Raymond Chandler, Rayford Daniels, Hariott Barrow, Jack Barrow, W. A. Barrow, Douglas Daniels, and Edward Barrow.

Certificate of Death: Immediate cause of Cerebral Hemorrhage.
