Grandy, NC – Raymond Antonio Baril, 77, died July 25, 2006. Mr. Baril was born in Amesbury, MA to the late Arthur and Julia Barre Baril. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy and the US Marines. He was an avid woodworker and carpenter and loved building furniture and decks. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Dorothy Helms Baril; sons, Raymond P. Baril of Norfolk and James L. Baril and wife Barbara of VA Beach; step-daughters, Wanda Thomas and husband Tom of Chesapeake and Julia Forbes of Chesapeake; sister, Shirley Gilman and husband Bill of NH; brothers, Arthur Baril and wife Linda, of MA and Roger Baril, of NH; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00am at Twiford's Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Moyock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at funeral home on Friday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm and at the residence of Wanda and Tom Thomas following the services.
