PAUL — Elton Clark Ellerman, 95, of Paul, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Autumn Haven Assisted Living in Rupert.

Clark was born June 6, 1922, in Trenton, Utah, the son of Henry Albert & Amelia Emma Clark Ellerman.

After completion of high school and military service in the United States Marine Corps, Clark married Ruth Shelton in the Logan Utah LDS Temple, January 18, 1952.

After drawing a Veteran’s Homestead, Clark and Ruth settled on their farm north of Paul where they resided many years. They liked to travel and see new places, including Hawaii, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Canada and most of the United States. They also loved camping in the mountains and spending time with their families.

Clark was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in the Elders quorum and High Priest group; as well as Ward clerk and Sunday School presidency member. Clark also enjoyed playing and coaching basketball. In his retirement years, he was an avid gardener, which benefited not only himself, but many friends and neighbors also.

He is survived by his brother, Sidney Ellerman of Trenton, Utah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Clark was preceded in death by his dear wife of 57 years, Ruth; his parents; sister, Geneva Stelly; and brothers, Boyd Ellerman and Ronald Ellerman.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—Paul Stake Center, with Bishop Dean Stevenson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial with military rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization will take place at the Paul Cemetery following the service.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
