Walter Howard Swart, 42, of 74 Leet street, died in Washington Hospital, Sunday, Dec. 16, 1945, at 9:20 a. m., following a lingering illness.
Mr. Swart was born Feb. 12, 1903, in Richhill Township, Greene County, a son of John and Lillian Supler Swart. He had resided in Washington the past 21 years.
Mr. Swart was employed by the Sharpnack Motor Co. for the past eight years. He was a member of the Washington County Sportsmen's Association.
He is survived by his wife, Olive Clutter; a daughter, Wilda Virginia, six and a half months old; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Swart, with whom he made his home; a sister, Jean, wife of Raymond Shaw, of Marianna; a brother, Rolland, of West Finley.
SWART - Friends of Walter Howard Swart, 74 Leet street, who died Dec. 16, 1945, will be received at Bebout and McNary Funeral Home, Washington, where short services will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p. m. Additional services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Enon Baptist Church in charge of the pastor, Rev. Jack M. Wyne. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Bebout and McNary, Washington, funeral director.
