Mrs. Miller was born August 17, 1918 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Cole and Nancy Evelyn Winebarger Cole. She was a homemaker and a member of Mabel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, one son, two brothers, one half-sister and one half-brother, four grandsons, and three granddaughters. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Miller; one brother, Charlie Cole, and one sister, Pearl Garland.
Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Cole Miller will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, February 15, 2011, at 2:00 o'clock, at Mabel United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Katherine Cornell. Burial will follow in the Mabel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock, at the church, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watauga County Project on Aging or to High Country Health Care System/Hospice, Boone, North Carolina.
