Mr. E.O. Brazel age 87 passed away Friday February 22, 2013 at Memorial Health Medical University Center in Savannah surrounded by his family. The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran and retired from Georgia State Prison serving as a Maintenance Engineer. Mr. Brazel was a member of Elza Baptist Church, Reidsville Lions Club and was a past Commander of the VFW Post #7764.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Brazel; son, Albert Brazel, and a grandson, Matthew Stanfield.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Brazel of Reidsville; sons, Eddie Brazel, Jr. of Lyons, Raymond James Brazel of Reidsville, Richard (Connie) Brazel of Madison, GA, John (Tanya) Brazel of Kentucky; daughters, Kathy Wilson of Reidsville and Melissa (Tommy) Hulett of Lyons; step-daughters, Joyce (Darrell) O’Neal, June (Johnny) Mimbs, Gayle (Thomas) Bland all of Reidsville; sister, Jacquelyn Lumpkin of Virginia; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two step granddaughters, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin 6:00pm Monday from the Reidsville Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday February 26, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be David Brazel, Christopher Brazel, Justin Stanfield, Casey Hulett, Nicholas Hulett and Alex Hulett

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Reidsville Lions Club and the VFW Post 7764
