John Bunn, Who Remembered the War of 1812, Passes Away in Kansas City, Kas.

John Bunn, an old resident of Kansas and probably the oldest man in Kansas City, Kas., died at an early hour yesterday morning at the home of his son, ex-Councilman W.N. Bunn, 32 Porter street. The deceased was 90 years old and had lived in Kansas for the past twenty years. He was born in New Jersey and remembers a number of incidents connected with the close of the war of 1812. When he was 7 years old and he had the pleasure of shaking hands with General La Fayette. It was always a pleasure for him to relate what he could remember of the colonial days and his relatives were well posted on those times.

He was for a number of years in charge of the dry docks at Pittsburgh, Pa., and left there only when he became too old for active service. His wife died several years ago.

He leaves three children, W.N. Bunn and Mrs. J.A. Barackman, of Kansas City, Kas., and J.W. Bunn, of Ottawa.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Highland Park Methodist church. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
