Celesta Pickens
of Racine Dies
Celesta Christina Pickens, 66, Rt. 1, Racine, died Sunday at Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Pickens was born April 21, 1907, the daughter of the late John and Cora Conger Dailey. Mrs. Pickens was a member of the Great Bend Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; a daughter, Carrie Bolin, Albany; a son, William N. Pickens, Racine; a brother, Howard Dailey, Hockingport; one half-brother, Omer Dailey, Racine; a sister, Lena Aley, Charleston; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Ewing Chapel with the Rev. Freeland Norris officiating. Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
