Age 94, of Harvard passed away August 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 9, 1921 in Ringwood, IL to George and Ruby (Claxton) Shepard. On June 18, 1940 she married Alan Ainger at her parent’s home. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1987. Gladys was very active in the Alden United Methodist Church along with the United Methodist Women where she was the gravy maker for the fall dinners for years. She was an active member of the McHenry County homemakers, and a 25 year election judge of Alden Township. She also belonged to the Women of the Moose.
