Delora Clark Oaks, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father and many family members on August 6, 2015.

Delora was born to William Julius Clark and Pearl Hatch Clark on June 2, 1938 in Vernal. She was the ninth of ten children.

Delora married Darwin LeRoy Oaks on April 15, 1959 in Vernal. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 12, 1965. They were blessed with five beautiful daughters that they raised together in Naples.

Delora had a strong testimony of the LDS church and was a devoted member. She was a great example to her family in everything she did. She enjoyed teaching Primary for more than twenty years and serving in the Young Women’s program and Relief Society. She also served in many other capacities and was a faithful visiting teacher and a dedicated temple worker alongside her husband Darwin.

Delora took great pride in making her home and yard beautiful, especially her flowers. She loved working on her flower garden. She had a very green thumb! She was also very involved in the DUP and enjoyed the many friendships that she made there. She had many talents, a few of which included sewing and quilting, cooking, and arranging flowers. She had a knack for making ordinary things beautiful. One of the greatest blessings in Delora’s life was her dogs. They were some of her most precious and dear friends.

Delora especially treasured the time she got to spend with her family creating beautiful craft projects for their homes. Spending time with family and making memories together was the most important thing in her life.

Delora is survived by the love of her life and eternal companion Darwin, her daughters: April (Daniel) Bastian, Janice (Kevin) Migliori, Dana (Kenneth) Page, Julie (Clayton) Thacker, Nancy (Lloyd) Wales, 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren with another special spirit on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Von Clark, Gerald Clark, Don Clark, Lyle Clark, Sheldon Clark, and sisters: Elva Stopple, Beth Miller, twin Delila Clark, Alice Arlean Stewart, and granddaughters: Jessika Lynn Pierce and Andrea Joyce Reynolds Bastian.

Funeral will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11A.M. at the Davis 2nd Ward Chapel (4080 South 2500 West).

A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Monday 9:45-10:45AM at the chapel prior to the funeral service.
