A sad accident occurred Saturday evening at the residence of Aaron Alderfer and family, who lived on a farm seven or eight miles south of Bremen in the west side of Bourbon township which cost the life of Glenn Edward Alderfer, the eldest son of the family.

At the time the evening chores were being done, Glenn and his younger brother led two colts out from the barn to water them. One of the colts kicked, striking the lad in the stomach.

The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at Mt. Pleasant, near the home. Glenn lacked just a month of being 12 years old. The father drives a cream wagon for Schlosser Bros. and is quite well known in Bremen. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their great sorrow.
