What we know about Fred;
According to the 1930 US Federal census for Missoula, Montana, he was born in New York State. Also according to this same census, his parents were from Alsace Lorraine.
Fred was married to my Great-Grandmother, Clara Ruth Geedeson in 1899. They show up together in 1900 US Fed census Dodge City, Kansas. Their first two children, Juanita Agnes and Wayne M. were born in Dodge City. Later after moving to Helena, Montana, they had three more children, Ethel (Evelyn) Marie Buback, Florence Helen Buback and Frederick (Lewis Anthony) Buback. Clara and Fred divorced sometime around 1919 and both of them remarried soon thereafter.
Fred married May Detal Walters in 1919. May is buried next to Fred in this beautiful cemetery.
According to his obituary, he retired from The Northern Pacific Railway in 1938.
MANY THANKS TO MY DISTANT COUSINS, KRISTI and CAROLE FOR HELPING ME CONNECT TO THIS PART OF MY FAMILY.
