Pfc. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Pfc. Cole was killed in action by small arms fire on 2-4-1970 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. E of the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. Pfc. Cole started his tour of Vietnam on 12-3-1969.

Pfc. Cole's body was claimed by his brother, Mr. Johnnie L. Mann, in c/o Mrs. Mary J. Mann of 511 Pamlico Street, Belhaven, North Carolina.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
