Abraham Tifft died soon after 4 o'clock Sunday morning st the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Hutton, 286 South Main street, aged eighty-one years. Mr. Tifft was uptown only Thursday, feeling as well as usual.
Mr. Tifft had lived in Janesville since 1854 and leaves besides his wife a family of eight children - Perry W. Tifft, of Vincennes, Ind., L.C. Tifft, Independence, Ia; S.V. Tifft, Hurney, Mich., Daniel R. and A.H. Tifft, of this city, Mrs. William and Mrs. A.E. Blish, of this city, and Mrs. Lucy Dunny, of Negauee, Mich.
