Walter A. Bentsen, 89, Hettinger, died April 28, 2002, in the Hettinger care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Friday at Hettinger Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Hettinger Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Arlan, Hettinger, and Burnell, Bakersfield, Calif.; three daughters, Janell Strand, Hettinger, June Whittet, Scranton, and Joann Barth, Whinton, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ada Ditchler, Minneapolis.
