Danny R. Custer
January 11, 1968 ~ August 2, 2015

Danny Richard Custer, Our Son, born January 11th 1968 in Prescott Arizona departed for heaven, August 2nd 2015.

Danny grew up on ranches in Arizona until we were blessed be able to adopt him and Wickenburg where graduated high School 1986 in spite of what the experts thought he could do.

Danny was one of those people that no one ever forgets, and he never forgot anyone.

Danny had many setbacks in life and pushed through them with a smile and with his eyes always looking to the Lord for his strength.

Danny was in an accident when 4 years old that took his brother and sister. With a brain injury he worked hard to overcome all that came with what many considered a slow person mentally. But if you ask anyone who knew him they would tell you he was much smarter than many people they knew. One of Danny’s dear friends, Amber sent me a message saying Danny was such a gentleman and a gentle man.

Danny was a bull rider and team roper through and through. He won many titles in Jr Rodeo - High School Rodeos and right on in to Professional Rodeo, PRCA. He went to the finals in senior pro rodeo association.

Along the way, Danny became an accomplished hand with a horse, he had a special connection with breaking and training. Many people sent their horses to Danny. Everyone said it was really something to watch Danny with a horse; he seemed to just be a part of the horse.

Danny worked every summer at the D-D ranch in Big Horn, Wyoming since 2008 for Mr. Billie Deonze breaking colts for the ranch. Danny loved working there with Billie and his wife. He looked forward to summer coming so he could head for the ranch. He had many friends there.

People like Will and Jody Arden, and Jimmy; I’m sure there were many more I don’t know about. I would like to think the Sheridan people for their love for our son.

Danny was a very in tune to God, a Christian man, he always wanted to be married. On January 3, 2015 he found a Christian girl and was married. I guess you could say it was his final accomplishments here on earth.

Danny enjoyed the simple things in life; his dog, his horses, and his friends. Danny never had the new rigs to go to a roping; all he had been an old truck, an old trailer, and the best horses. Everyone loved to see that old truck and trailer pull into a roping because they knew it was going to be a good day with Danny Custer and his big smile. No one could be mad or anything but happy with him around.

Danny is survived by his birth Mother Gwen Tatum Glattfelder. His Mom and Dad Jim and Dixie Custer 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Jd Edwardson, Cody Custer, wife Stacey, Jimbob Custer, Jolonda Tatum-Britain, husband Mike, Donda Pothem, husband Phil, and Brenda Prudham, husband Graig; and his Uncle Danny Tatum, his Cousin Brett Tatum, wife Keylie.

Nieces and Nephews: Hailey Custer Bowling, Shelby Custer, Paige Custer, Marty Custer, Brittany Custer Childers Walls, Brett Custer, Lacey Custer, Pecos Tatum, Cheyenne Britain, Chance Britain, Paige brown, Dwight Edwardson, Blain Edwardson, Karlee Edwardson, Tatum Edwardson, Lancia Darveaux, Bryant Fullmer, Barrie Chapman Molina, and Brook Chapman.

His wife, Wednesday Custer, and Step Daughters Montana and Shawnee.

Danny was preceded in death by his brother Brett Custer and sister Connie Custer, nephew Aaron Custer, nephew Gabriel Daveaux, his Grandparents Dick and Virginia Tatum, Jack and Gladys Custer, and Great grandparents Winnie and Leonard Campbell.

Danny would want everyone out there to know he loved them, and above all, he loved God. His wish was that everyone would ask Jesus into their lives.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 12:30 PM at the Wickenburg Community Center with interment to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
