He was born May 10, 1928 in Granby, Missouri to Beuna Ray and Essie Gertrude (McGlassion) Beaver.
He grew up and attended school at Granby.
In 1946, Mr. Beaver entered the United States Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in 1948.
On December 17, 1948, he and Virginia Gnadt were married in Joplin, Missouri. From 1956 to 1967, the family lived in Joplin, Carthage, Nevada, and Carl Junction, Missouri.
While living in Carl Junction, he was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 549.
In 1967, they moved to Parsons where they have lived since.
Mr. Beaver was employed by Parsons State Hospital and Training Center until his retirement in 1970.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 66 years, Virginia Beaver, of the home, three sons, Neil Beaver Beatrice, NE, Jerry Beaver and his wife, Carol, Dennis Beaver and his wife, Linda, Sun City Center, FL, three grandchildren, Aaron Beaver, Bryan Beaver, and Christa Moore, four great grandchildren, Brady, Anabelle, Brennan, and Addison, one brother, Art Beaver, Joplin, MO, one sister, Eddie Richardson, Joplin, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Forrest Beaver, in 1973; and one grandson, Casey Beaver, on August 4, 2000.
