James I. Bolton, 72, Mooresville, died Thursday at home. Born April 16, 1923 in Owensboro, Ky., he was the son of James Lloyd and Amelia (Clark) Bolton.
Mr. Bolton was employed with Briggs Transportation, Indianapolis, 26 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Mooresville VFW Post 1111, Danville American Legion and Teamster Local 135. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include wife Georgia E. (Bishop) Bolton, Mooresville; sons James Donald and Thomas Lynn Bolton, both of Greenfield; daughters Martha Hunt and Rebecca Enos, both of Greenfield; stepsons Thomas E. Singleton, Plainfield, and Barney T. Stover, Mooresville; stepdaughters Debra A. Gorsuch, Martinsville, Ada M. Brown, Avon, and Mary G. Wheasler, Monrovia; sister Marjorie Deitz, Maywood; two aunts; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by step-daughter Marjorie Feeback, sister Kathryn Townsley and brother William R. Bolton.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, Greenwood, with the Rev. Donald Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Saturday and noon to time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
