He was born in Olney Sept. 10, 1916. He married Betty Rock in Kahoka, Mo., Nov. 1, 1941.
Surviving are his wife; one son, David Walker, Philo; one daughter, Peggy Jones, Homer; two brothers, Newton Walker, Boise, Idaho, and Don Walker, Villa Grove; one sister, Illene Wentworth, Richmond, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
He was the groundskeeper at the University of Illinois Golf Course until retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Countryside Methodist Church.
Funeral was July 2 at the Countryside Methodist Church, Sidney, the Rev. Charles Wheeler officiating.
