NUFER, Albert L. 78, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Albert was a proud employee of the Louisville Water Company for 34 years. He loved spending valuable time with family and friends, and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Albert was preceded in death by both his parents, Albert and Pauline (Smith) Nufer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maggie Nufer; a daughter, Karen (Mike) Sturgeon; Sons, Greg Nufer, Steve (Lori) Nufer, Three sisters, Mary Beck, Helen (Glenn) Karlen, Ruth Ann Thompson; Grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Erik Sturgeon, and Nathan Nufer; also granddaughter, Brittany Morris; three step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and thirteen step- great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the care provided to Albert while under hospice care.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South 6th St.
