Adan Adam Almaraz, Jr. Adan Adam Almaraz, Jr., 61, of Topeka, died November 4, 2013 at his home. He was born in Alice, Texas on September 18, 1952 the son of Adan Adam and Lucia (Saldivar) Almaraz Sr. Adam was a Mason and worked as a brick layer in Topeka and the surrounding areas. The greatest joy in his life was his grandchildren; Kadin, Konner, Colin and Ava. He married Theresa C. Rudolph on October 6, 1979 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter Adriana Almaraz and a son Kenny Almaraz, his mother Lucy Estrada, two sisters, Eva Tinajero and Belen Rivera all of Topeka and a brother Michael Almaraz of Edgewood, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Sr. and a brother Fabian Almaraz. Adam will lie in state on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. followed by the family receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with private burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Transplant Network and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
