He was born April 18, 1953 in Washington, PA, to the late William Woods Davis, and Anne P. Davis of Washington, PA.
Michael received his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1975 and 1976 respectively. He received his PhD in Engineering Mechanics from The Ohio State University in 1985.
He is a thirty-five year member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect, PA.
He was employed since 1976 as a research engineer, most recently a Senior Fellow, at American Glass Research of Butler, PA.
He is survived by his wife Teddy Maleski Davis, who he married on August 3, 1974, his children; Jennifer (Lucas) Landau of Ross Twp., Tyler (Katie Forrest) Davis of McCandless Twp.; his mother Anne Davis of Washington, PA; his sister Sheryl Wehn of Tucson, AZ; his brother William Davis of Flower Mound, TX; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Woods Davis.
