The deceased was a son of the late Jacob and Rachel (Nipple) Kuhn and was born in Juniata County, Pa. on August 14, 1831, and at the tome of his death was aged 76yrs. 4mo, 24days.
Coming to this county in th eearly years he received a fair schooling and learned the trade of millwright which he followed until 1882 then going to farming when he has since followed, retireing a few years ago.
Mr. Kuhn married March 1, 1855, to Angelina Fry, who died November 18, 1893. He was married June 26, 1895 to Mrs. Nancy Long, widow of Henry Long, who is also dead. The following children from the first wife survive; Harrison Kuhn of Harrisburg, Pa.; Mrs. Frank Butz of Greenburg, Pa.; Mrs. Jack Wilson of Newport,; Mrs. Amos Garlin of Harrisburg; Sylvester of Indiana County; Howard of Harrisburg. A number of are dead.
Mr. Kuhn was for many years a consistant member of the Reformed Church and filled several offices in his church. His remains were interred in Newport, Tuesday.
