OBITUARY
Mrs. Jane Walker died Wednesday, Dec. 21, at her home on Baldwin street. The deceased was a native of this county and 82 years old. On July 27, 1854 she was married to Alexander Walker, who preceded her to the grave several years ago.

Mrs. Walker was the mother of eleven children, six of whom are living; Mrs. Jane Watts, Annie Walker, H.S. Walker, Miss Carrie Walker, Mrs. P.F. Peel, J.L. Walker; also 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was motherly, neighborly and friendly, a devout member of the Christian church.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Dec. 22, at Christian church at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G.W. Nutter. Interment in family burying ground at Hanly. The pallbearers were Jesse Burch, George Walker, Charlie Walker, Dean Walker, Dan Welch, and Thomas Collier.
