Nathan Lawhead, one of the early settlers of Lawrence Township, died on Saturday afternoon at his home near Montgomery school house, aged 75 years. The deceased had been ailing for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was a brother of Robert and Frank, deceased, and Zebulum, who is the only surviving brother. He leaves a widow and seven adult children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. He was a consistent member of the Centre
M.E. church, and in the cemetery there he was laid to rest on Monday afternoon, his pastor, Rev. E.H.Witman, conducting the funeral service.
