Herman Butler, aged 25 years, beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Butler of Burlington, passed away Tuesday forenoon, February 12, as the result of an accident while working in the Byles logging camp near Lake Samish. Mr. Butler had been a resident of Skagit county all his life. He served six years in the army prior to 1933. Besides his parents and a host of friends who will deeply mourn his passing, he leaves to survive him a grandmother, Mrs. Emma Toggert of Anacortes and a great-grandfather, F. E. Gilkey of Marysville. The remains are resting at the O. R. Hollingsworth funeral home and funeral services will be held from the M. E. church at Burlington Thursday afternoon, February 14, at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. L. C. Schultz pastor of Burlington M. E. church officiating. Interment will be made in the Bow cemetery.
