Francis was married 2nd about 1917 as the 2nd husband of Olivia Franklin "Livie" (Blankinship) Miller (1873-1961), who was the daughter of John Blankenship and Susan Mary "Susie" (Johnson) (Ornduff) Blankenship (1846-1919). Livie had been married 1st to Charles Pleasant Miller (1875–1917), and they had at least 6 children.
A retired farmer living in Cairo, Illinois, Francis was 88 years old and a widower when he passed away on January 5, 1946 in Union County. Burial was two days later in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski.
