Wm. W. Isaacs was born in Sabine County, Texas, Dec. 3, 1839; enlisted in Company "D" 15th Texas Cavalry, commanded by Col. W. Sweet, remaining with that command until the surrender in 1865, returning to Jacksonville, Texas. On the 26th day of July, 1866, he married Miss Rachal V. Butler in Smith County, Texas.
