Ebenezer Wright was the son of Elihu Wright. He narried Electa Peavy in 1883 in Belfast, Allegany county, New York and they had 14 children together. After Electa died in 1862, he married Martinetta Bartlett and they had a son, Grant. His final marriage was to Johanna Church. He was a resident of De Kalb county from 1840 until his death in 1896.

"Word has been received announcing the death in Iowa of Mr. Eb Wright, an old-time resident of Sycamore. The remains were brought to Genoa Tuesday and the interment
was at Charter Grove cemetery."
