Captain Solomon Bliss b. 26 Oct. 1769. d. Sept. 4, 1834. He was the son of Solomon Bliss and Martha Young of Weston Massachusetts, and brother of Abner Bliss (buried Georgia Plains Cemetery). He married Nov. 29, 1791, 1) Betsy Davis, b. Dec. 6, 1769, d. May 21, 1822. She was the daughter of Captain Stephen Davis and Rebecca Young. He married 2) Polly McMaster, widow of a Mr. Sabin (or Town?).

"He was a private in Captain Post's Company, from Georgia, in the War of 1812, was a Justice of Peace in Georgia nineteen years, and represented the town in the Vermont Legislature in 1810-17."
