Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Wooton Adams of Joiner were held Wednesday, June 3, with Rev. E. E. Stephenson officiating. Burial was in the Bassett Cemetery. Mrs. Adams died June 2 at 7:10 PM of natural causes. She had been in failing health for some time and was bed fast. She was 98 years of age.
Born in Munford, Tenn., on February 16, 1855, she came to Arkansas as a bride. She was twenty-two years of age at the time. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Joiner. Her husband are. H. Adams, was killed by an automobile in 1937.
Survivors are three sons, Carl Adams, with whom she made her home, W. W. Adams and Joe Adams, all of Joiner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
