PRICE - Our beloved dad, brother, uncle and grandfather, Ervin Dee Fausett, passed away on November 24, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Price with his family by his side just days before his 90th birthday. Dee was born in Price to Ervin Fausett and Clara Belle Smithson Fausett on December 5, 1924. He married his sweetheart Carol Amber Powell, on April 23, 1946 in Price. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2012.

Dee was born and raised in Price, living for over 85 years out on their farm which is now known as “Fausett Lane” with his parents, brothers, and sisters, children and grandchildren nearby. He dearly loved his family and they made many wonderful memories together vacationing, hunting, working and camping. In earlier years Dee worked at various jobs around the country, later working for Utah Railway, retiring after 28 years.

He had great love for animals and from the time he was young, always had a menagerie of sheep, birds, goats, and all kinds of farm animals. Dee could be found any given day, tending to his beautiful yard, caring for his animals or visiting with friends and family on his patio.

Dee is one of the last of the “greatest generation”, having courageously served as an Army Mortar Operator in Italy during World War II as part of the 338th Infantry regiment of the 85th “Custer” Division.

He and Carol were also wonderful foster parents to almost 20 children through the years.

Dee leaves behind his daughters, sons, daughter-in-law, 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, he is also survived by brothers, and sisters, and sister-in-law, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Carol, parents, sons, Douglas Dee and Lyle Fausett, sister Fern Fausett and brothers, Don and Ted Fausett and great-grandson Brecken Haddock

The family would like to give a special thank-you to Rocky Mountain Hospice, Melanie, Terrie and Angie for the special loving care given to grandpa in his last days.
