Lenora F. Blanck, 98, of Midland, died at Brittany Manor on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. The daughter of the late Albert C. and Minnie (Eggebrecht) Federspiel was born April 30, 1917 in Gratiot County. On June 18, 1938 she married Carlton R. Blanck in Midland, and he preceded her in death May 29, 1999. Lenora was a homemaker, and a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed Bible Study with her friends. Lenora also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics, roll bakes, cooking and sewing. She especially enjoyed family events and time spent with the Happy Diners.
Lenora is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Richard) Dachsteiner of Hope and Janet (Ralph O.) Wisco of Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Kelly (Matt) Gray, Ralph A. Wisco (deceased) Elizabeth (Joe) Parker, Scott Dachsteiner, Jill (Steve) Miller, Mary (John) Tabor, Carol (Mike) O'Callaghan; great-grandchildren, Carlie, Cade, Raif, Crystal, Sara, Scotty, Robert, James, Erin, Nolan, Sean, Aiden, Brianna (Vinnie), Lucas, Kahloni, Kalea, Kash, Khai Bella; great-great-grandchildren, Penelope, Mason, Jackson; and grand daughter-in-law, Kandice Wisco. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Blanck; brothers, Edward Federspiel, Lawrence Federspiel, Carl Federspiel; and a sister, Ella Bare.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Monday, July 27, 2015, from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Mayton III officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to the Memorial Presbyterian Church.
