Mr. Holman died at 5:20 p.m. at the home of his daughter Mrs. Harry V. Hodson, 606 Tracy Street with who he had lived for two years. A son of Samuel Steward Holman and Elizabeth Hadlock Holman, he was born August 28, 1874 at Washburn and farmed west of there for many years. His hobby was gardening and took great pride in his flowers. Surviving are his three daughters, Mrs. Hodson of Peoria, Mrs. Zenge and Miss Vera Holman, and brother Spurgeon Holman, of Los Angeles former County Clerk. Two grandchildren, Richard Allen Zenge, and John Vernon Hodson. His daughter Clarabel Holman died August 27th, 1937
