Edward, passed away at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital.
He was a native of Oak Grove, Louisiana and had been a resident of Vinton, Louisiana for over forty years coming from Orange, Texas.
A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from Equitable Bag Company after thirty eight years of service and had been the Union Steward for over thirty years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Ann Armfield; two daughters, Geraldine Theresa Nation, and Mona Lisa Landry and husband, Judge Danny Landry; two sons, Donald Gregory Armfield and wife, Lisa, and Edward Joseph Armfield and wife, Karin; one brother, Cletus Armfield; one sister, Earlene O'Rear; nine grandchildren, Ambre Bushong, Phillip Nation, Scott Armfield, Adrian Landry, Candice Landry, Christian Landry, Daniel Landry, Lauren Armfield, and Natasha Armfield; and five great-grandchildren, Amya, Brooklyn, Gabrielle, Sebastian, and Mia Rose.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Landry.
