This is Amand Schimpfky, my GGGrandfather. Amand Schimpfky was born in Aug 1827 somewhere in Prussia. He was married to Caroline Roberts Shimpfky.
The name was spelled Schimpfky when he came to America but around the time they moved to Denver, Colorad they dropped the "c"
Amand was a Talior by profession.

He imigrated to the U.S.A. in 1860 after living in Onterio, Canada where his three sons were born.
He moved accross the lake to Watertown, NY. where he and his wife had three daughters.
The family moved to Denver, CO. about 1880. At some point he left the family and moved to Minnesota where he was living in 1900 at the age of 72. I am looking for information about his death and burial.
