Mrs. Martha J. Norton, 74 years of age and a native of Effingham County, died at the residence, No 16 Thirty Ninth Street, East, at an early hour yesterday morning after an illness of only one hour. During the evening previous, she was apparently enjoying the best of health. She was the widow of Dr. R. G. Norton. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gordon L. Groover and three sons. Robert, Walter and George M. Norton. The funeral will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from the residence of Dr. Walter Norton, No. 105 Oglethorpe Avenue East. The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. J. J. Taylor, pastor of the First Baptist Church, of which church the deceased was a member. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
