Raymond Charles Cuddihy

Raymond Charles Cuddihy, passed away peacefully on his birthday, with his loving family surrounding him. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2001, at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, Galveston, with Fr. William Bartniski, Pastor, officiating.

Mr. Cuddihy was born October 23, 1930, in Albany, New York. In 1991, he relocated to Galveston where he worked part-time as a chef for Moody Gardens. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.

Mr. Cuddihy is predeceased in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Cuddihy, his uncles George and Richard Cuddihy and his aunts Betty Ramsey of Albany, New York and Catherine LaPorte.

He leaves behind with many cherished memories, his loving wife of 47 years, Eleanor Smith Cuddihy of Galveston, Texas; and his children, daughters, Cathy Merriett and husband, Raymond of Katy, Texas, Susan Parker also of Katy, Texas, RaeLynn Cuddihy of Houston, Texas and Mary Simon and husband, Jeffrey of Katy, Texas; and his only son, Joseph Cuddihy and wife, Renee of Cuero, Texas.
Sharing in this loss also are Mr. Cuddihy's loving grandchildren, Jennifer and David Merriett, Alisha and Joseph Parker, Chuck Parker, Brittnie and Shelby Simon and Kristina, Jonna, Alex and Trey Cuddihy and his greatgrandchildren,Jordan Bittle and Alexis and Nicholas Parker. Saddened also by this loss are Mr. Cuddihy's two brothers-in-law, Donald Smith of Hoosick Falls, New York and George Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina; his niece, Dickelle Fonda Simmons and family, his nephews, Joe Fonda and family, Jeff Fonda and family; extended family, Margaret Restino and family, Timothy Smith and family, George Smith, Steve Smith, Drew Smith, several cousins, a host of other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Cuddihy leaves with his family, a life full of love, happy thoughts, cherished moments and many fond memories. He will be lovingly missed.
